Environmental and Biosystems Engineering Students Association (EBESA) through Chairman EBE, Eng. Dr. D. O. Mbuge and  Patron  Dr. W.  Muthumbi to The Dean, Faculty of Engineering Eng. Prof. A. N. Gitau organised an Academic Trip to Mombasa from 17th to 20th February, 2022.

They were scheduled to visit three Companies namely; 

Visit by Mangu High School Students

50 students from Mang'u High School visited Department of Environmental and Biosystems Engineering, Faculty of Engineering on Wednesday February 16, 2022  for a Career Guidance session and tour. They were briefed and given an orientation through video  what Biosystems Engineering Degree program entails by Mr. Orodi, Principal Technologist and Ms. Consolata Mwangi Senior Technologist

DESIGN OF A CULTURED ALGAE BIOFUEL GENERATION SYSTEM FROM INORGANIC WASTE FOR RUIRU SUB-COUNTY

This design project entails an incineration system that will be able to convert total inorganic waste into desired carbon dioxide which will be synthesized by algae for photosynthesis. The project also entails the design of algae pond raceways which will produce enough algae to be synthesized to biofuel.
