When the final whistle was blown second years had already scored 4 goals against third years nill goal making them emerge winners.

The Department of Environmental & Biosystems Engineering held FEB 540: Engineering Design Project Oral Examination Seminar on 11th June,2021 at Upper Kabete Premises. The presentations cover the thematic areas: water and irrigation engineering, renewable energy, power and machinery engineering, food and process, and Environmental engineering

The University of Nairobi is set to hold a prize presentation ceremony for students with outstanding academic performance on Friday May 7, 2021 at Taifa Hall. The prizes are in form of certificates, money, trophies and medals provided by donors to departments and faculties, schools and institutes to recognize and award top academic achievers among the student fraternity.

Aflatoxins are highly toxic metabolites of several Aspergillus species widely distributed throughout the environment. These toxins have adverse effects on humans and livestock at a few micrograms per kilogram (μg/kg) concentrations. Kenya has the most recorded outbreaks of aflatoxicosis, that has resulted into death, in Africa.

Engineering students from the University of Nairobi (UoN) are among students from other universities set to benefit from a mentorship programme organized by the Institution of Engineers in Kenya (IEK).

The announcement was made by Eng. Grace Kagondu, Chairperson IEK Capacity Building and Mentorship Committee during celebrations to mark World Engineering Day 2021 in Chandaria  Auditorium at the University of Nairobi on 4th March 2021.

Department of  Environmental and Biosystems Engineering (EBE) has been ranked position 3 under the category of Teaching Department for the  Performance Contract FY 2019/2020.

This was revealed in the Friday Morning University’s Performance Contract award ceremony January 29, 2021. 

To address the challenge of lack of affordable cold storage for smallholder farmers, the University of Nairobi’s Multi-disciplinary Postharvest Research Team has been conducting adaptive research on innovative and affordable cold storage solutions.
